The Kivalliq team has a proven track record of discovery and over 75 years of combined geological and management expertise.  The team has been involved in all aspects of exploration ranging from grass roots through to resource delineation and production.  Complementing their geological experience, the Kivalliq team brings a solid understanding of capital markets.

    John Robins, P.Geo. - President, CEO & Director
   
John Robins   Mr. Robins is a professional geologist based in Vancouver, BC, and has over 25 years of experience as an independent exploration geologist and entrepreneur. After graduating with a BSc in Geology from UBC in 1984, Mr. Robins worked mainly as a self employed prospector and geologist in BC, Yukon, North West Territories and Nunavut Territory. In 1988, he became one of the founders of Hunter Exploration Group (“Hunter”), one of Canada’s most successful private exploration companies. Hunter continues to fund and conduct exploration programs throughout Canada and the world. He has also been active in founding several successful public exploration companies and in 2005 launched the Discovery Group of Companies. Mr. Robins also sits on the board of directors of numerous successful TSX-V listed junior exploration companies. His experience in everything from grass roots exploration to production is complimented by success in the capital markets and financing activities. In 2008, Mr. Robins was recognized for his achievements in mining exploration by the AME for making “a significant contribution, directly or indirectly, to enhance the mineral resources of British Columbia and/or the Yukon Territory, through the original application of prospecting techniques or other geoscience technology” with the H.H. "Spud" Huestis Award.
     
     
    Rob Carpenter, Ph.D., P.Geo. - Chairman & Director
   
  Dr. Carpenter is one of the founders behind Kaminak Gold Corp (KAM TSX-V) and Kivalliq  and is a practicing professional geologist.  He has been involved in all aspects of precious and base metal exploration for over 16 years.  Dr. Carpenter has more than ten years of experience with BHP-Billiton Ltd., Placer Dome Inc., and WMC Resources Ltd., focusing primarily on early stage exploration projects throughout Canada, Australia and the United States.  While with WMC Resources Ltd., he spent time on gold and nickel projects throughout North America.  More recently, he spent three years with the Federal Department of Indian and Northern Affairs of Canada.  He was responsible for evaluating technical reports submitted on mineral claims, prospecting permits and mining leases as required under the Canada Mining Regulations and recommend their approval/rejection based on compliance.  After his federal government employment, Dr. Carpenter served as Senior Exploration Geologist for Committee Bay Resources Ltd. and the Hunter Exploration Group for two years.  Dr. Carpenter obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario and completed his Ph.D. thesis on the regional geological setting of the Meliadine Lake gold deposits located near Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. Dr. Carpenter is certified by the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (P. Geo) and is also a Director of Brilliant Mining Corp. (BMC: TSXV).
     
     
    Jim Dawson, M.Sc., P.Eng. - Director
   
Jim Dawson   Jim serves as President of Dawson Geological Consulting Ltd., a geological consulting company. Mr. Dawson has been a Professional Consulting Geologist for over thirty years, and has been a Director of Public Companies In the Mineral Resource Industry for almost twenty years. Also, he has managed his own consulting Geological Firm for many years. As a partner with Kerr, Dawson & Associates Ltd. from 1972 to 1985, he participated in the discovery of the Blackdome Mine, Frasergold and Taurus Properties in British Columbia and the Big Horn Mine in Arizona. He has been an Independent Director of Minefinders Corp. Ltd., since March 18, 1996. He has been a Director of Member of Technical Advisory Board of Kaminak Gold Corp. since December 11, 2006 and served as a Director of Great Southern Enterprises Corp. since 2003. Mr. Dawson was part of the original Pan Ocean team which made the discovery of the Lac Cinquante U-Mo Occurrence in 1975.
     
     
    Garth Kirkam, BSc, P.Geo, P.Geoph – Director
   
    Mr. Kirkham obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Alberta in 1983, completing his degree with majors in Geophysics, Geology and Mathematics.  He is the principal of Kirkham Geosystems which specializes in 3D computer modeling and re/_modules/bCMS/content/forms/source/reserve estimations at the preliminary assessment, pre-feasibility and feasibility study stages of mining projects.  In addition, he is the past-Chair of the Mineral Deposits Division of the Geological Association of Canada and is currently serving on national council.

Jim Paterson  

Jim is the President, CEO and a director of Corsa Capital Ltd. (CSO: TSX-V) with more than 10 years of investor relations, marketing and corporate development experience with several North American mineral exploration companies and service providers involved with publicly traded companies.

In 2005, Jim became the Director of Marketing for the Discovery Group of Companies. Prior to this, he worked with The Northair Group for two years in a variety of roles, gaining an understanding of the group's goals, stakeholders and business model. Jim also spent over 3 years as Director of Investor Relations for an US based AMEX listed Mining Corporation.

Jim is a director of Tenajon Resources Corp. and Kivalliq Energy Corp., both listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

     
     
    Charles Chebry, B.Sc., CMA - CFO
   
Charles Chebry  

Mr. Chebry is an independent business consultant.   He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta and is a Certified Management Accountant.  Mr. Chebry became President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Cedar Mountain Exploration Inc. in January 2007.  He was Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and a Director of Olympia Financial Group Inc. (OLY:TSXV), from March 1997 to December 2006 and remains a Director.  Mr. Chebry served as the Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Olympia Trust Company from April 1999 to December 2006 and remains a Director.  Mr. Chebry also served as the Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Eyelogic Systems Inc. (EYE.A:TSXV), an automated eyesight testing company, from April 1998 to December 2006 and remains a Director.  Mr. Chebry has been a Director of Committee Bay Resources Inc., (CBR:TSXV), since July 2002 and served as President and founder of its predecessor company Arta Enterprises Inc. from December 2000 to July 2002. Mr. Chebry has also been the President of CC Management Inc. from March 1997 to date, a management services company.

     
     
    Jeff Ward, BSc, P.Geo - Vice President, Exploration
   
    Mr. Ward obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Geology from the University of Western Ontario and is a registered professional geologist in British Columbia and Alberta. He has 25 years experience exploring for base metals, precious metals and diamonds with companies such as Corona Corporation, Ashton Mining of Canada Inc. and Stornoway Diamond Corporation, where he worked on reconnaissance to advanced-stage projects throughout Canada’s north. As regional Project Manager, Mr. Ward directed exploration programs in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut for over eight years and was responsible for program design, supervision, compliance, and joint venture management and stakeholder relations.
