Washburn Uranium Project, Nunavut
Kivalliq owns 100% of the 200,000 acre Washburn property which covers portions of the Elu Basin located on southeastern Victoria Island, Nunavut. The Elu Basin is a Proterozoic sedimentary succession with similar geological features to the uranium-bearing basins such as Athabasca, Thelon and Hornby Bay. Kivalliq’s technical team believes the Elu Basin may represent an overlooked setting for “unconformity-type” uranium deposits and is currently planning the most efficient work program to identify new uranium targets on the project.
